Half Shells
These intrinsically artistic shell halves highlight the beautiful, rich brown colors of nature. Every half has a unique shape and size. They are perfect for making jewelry and for use in crafts. They also make great embellishments in baskets, knitting, crocheting, and quilting projects.
Center Cut Shell Slices
These slices are cut from the center, largest part of the Black Walnut shell. They have the best natural scroll work and include the most intricate features. Each slice highlight the beautiful, rich brown colors of nature and every one has a unique pattern, shape, and size.
Outer Cut Shell Slices
We offer 2 options for these slices, Style A and Style B, depending on which side of the center cut the slices come from. Because they are closer to the ends of the shell, their shapes and sizes vary greatly - making them even more unique and interesting. They are also stronger because there is more shell in every slice
Heart Shaped Slices
These slices have a Heart shape on one side. [I am calling it the front, although either side can be the featured one.] The heart side can also be used to create really cute owl faces. And the other side [I am calling it the back] has a Smiley face on it. These slices are very versatile and can be used for jewelry, crafts, or even for period-piece buttons.
Mini Shell Slices
These miniature Black Walnut shell slices are perfect for making unique earrings, crafts, or used as embellishments or buttons. They are just as beautiful as the full-sized ones with all the rich brown colors of nature. And although they are harder to make, they are worth the effort because they are so adorable!
Large Shells Slices
The large slices are significantly bigger then the regular sized ones. These intrinsically artistic slices of nature are perfect for making pendants and use in crafts! They also make great embellishments in knitting, crocheting, and quilting projects.
Heel Cuts/Wood Embellishments
One side of the slice reveals the individualized designs found inside the shell. The other side displays the mosaic of grooves and crevices from the outside of the shell. Because they are the end cuts of the nuts, every slice has a distinctly unique pattern, shape, and size based on the original shell. These pieces are great for crafts or used as wood embellishments for projects.
Coming Soon - Live Edge Wood Slices
We are allowing our wood to season naturally to reduce cracking and splits. Once it is completely dry, we will be able to slice it into disks to show off the amazing beauty of this hard wood.
